About Us

Heron Ridge Landscaping has been a part of your community since 1995. Originally started by David Kearns with an emphasis on exceeding customers' expectations in property maintenance, years of experience and continuing education have led to broader interests and skills including landscape construction and design, and certification in landscape extermination (weeds and non-beneficial insects). The business became a family affair in 2001 when Ann joined the team with an interest in landscape design and studies completed through Mohawk College and the University of Guelph in Computer Assisted Design, Landscape Design, and Horticulture.

"We take great pride in the fact that we have customers, still with us today, who have been with us since the very beginning of the business. We see that as a testament to our hard work, professionalism, and reliability. Not only that, but our customers often become like friends. We are there, on their property, taking care of their homes, and we are very proud of the reputation we have earned over the years and of our customer's trust in us…and in our work".

Heron Ridge continues to operate year round with spring & fall clean-ups, summer maintenance, and design and construction projects. During the quieter winter months, both David and Ann enjoy, and find great value in, continuing their education, and staying current within the industry, through a variety of property maintenance and landscape design and construction courses offered through the province's premier horticultural trades association: Landscape Ontario.
